Welcome to Linlithgow Tool Library
We are a community resource in Linlithgow providing members with access to tools and equipment for DIY, woodworking, decorating, gardening and more. The majority of our inventory has been donated by other members and individuals from the local community.
Please feel free to browse our inventory here.
Become a Member
Simply sign up online, including a valid phone number and home address. Creating an account will allow you to browse and reserve tools.
We ask for a yearly donation of £25 to help cover our costs. Please drop into the Hub when it's open where you will be able to donate. Alternatively you can donate when picking up your 1st loan item.
Should this annual fee be an issue for you, please let us know as we want to ensure fair access to all.
How does the Tool Library work?
Login, browse and select your item/s and set a collection date.
Please note that we prepare tool reservations in advance and some of our tools are stored off-site. Order before 1pm on Sunday for Monday pick up and before 1pm on Tuesday for Tuesday pickup.
Drop into the Hub (the Old Library) to collect your tools. Our volunteers can assist to bring out items to your car if required.
If this is your first time collecting please e-mail a photograph of photo ID and recent proof of address to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are unable to pick up at the available times, write a note in your order and we will be in touch and see what we can do!
We will assume that you will return the item the following week at the same time you collected it (unless a special arrangement has been made with us). If you need a bit more time you can extend your reservation or contact email@example.com
We have built up a good inventory of tools and will be delighted to accept donations, if they fullfill a need within the library. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or via facebook and send a picture of the items you wish to offer as a donation. Thank you.
We love our volunteers! If you would like to join our growing team please get in touch.
